As an adult I’ve rekindled my love with plastic finger puppets. Witch Finger + Grasshopper was an opportunity to practice Rhino’s SubD modeling, Grasshopper and rendering. My initial aim was to create a romanesco broccoli out of witch fingers. Unfortunately creating a phyllotaxis spiral of a phyllotaxis spiral of a phyllotaxis spiral of a witch finger was likely going to melt my computer. I abandoned the romanesco, but managed to create some fun renderings during the process. Including a Christmas card.

The witch finger was modeled in Rhino using SubD. I then used Grasshopper to scale and arrange the geometry into different fractal configurations.
