(2019)    Sculptural recreations of photographs from a supply catalog

With Uline, I’m able to separate politics from art. While I don’t agree with their significant far right campaign contributions, Uline's product photography are works of art. My 2019 show at Antenna Gallery New Orleans Make Your Own Void Fill: an exhibition of ready-made sculptural recreations of photographs from a supply catalog  pays homage. The title of the show itself is taken directly from the Uline catalog. Void fill is the matter one puts between an object and the box it's being shipped in, for example packing peanuts. Uline's declaration to Make Your Own Void Fill is a statement of empowerment. The catalog for this show was the actual Uline Catalog. While all artworks were sold at the advertised prices, no materials were sourced from Uline.
